Michael Pinder Fundraises for The AHOY Centre
Earlier this year, I visited the AHOY centre for a work away day. We had a brilliant day in the outdoors and the fresh air of the river Thames. Our activities involved cleaning the new educational facilities and some team rowing. It was both challenging and rewarding with an excellent lunch to keep us fuelled!
It was a pleasure to learn about the important work of the AHOY. After the day I felt motivated to raise money for something that I had experienced.
On 25 September, I ran the Windsor half marathon. It was a hot day and a hilly course. And 21km is a tough challenge! Running for the AHOY gave me extra energy.
I'm delighted to share that I raised £650 - £325 of generous donations and an extra £325 from my workplace, the Bank of England, who kindly doubled the donation.
I encourage you to run, swim, cycle or do something for the AHOY. It's a great motivation and your efforts really do make a big difference to young people's lives.
Thank you so much for fundraising for the AHOY Centre Michael and we look forward to welcoming you back her soon.
